What to expect, start to finish
Free Consultation and Skin Assessment
Every tattoo removal job starts with a one-on-one consultation at our Gilbert studio, conveniently located for clients from Downtown Gilbert, Agritopia, Power Ranch, and across Maricopa County. We photograph your tattoo, map your ink colors and depth, and check your skin type. Arizona sun exposure matters here — a tan or sunburned shoulder from a summer at Gilbert Regional Park changes what settings we can safely use, so we'll talk honestly about your recent sun habits before anything else.
Custom Treatment Plan and Upfront Quote
Laser tattoo removal isn't one-size-fits-all. A small black script piece on the wrist is a very different job than a large multicolor sleeve, and older, faded ink usually clears faster than dense, saturated work. We give you a written estimate of how many sessions you'll likely need, the per-session cost, and the realistic timeline — often 6 to 12 sessions spaced 8 to 10 weeks apart. No surprises, no pressure.
Your First Laser Session
On treatment day we clean the area, apply a topical numbing cream, and pass the laser over the tattoo in short, targeted pulses. Most clients describe it as a rubber-band snap — uncomfortable but quick. A palm-sized tattoo typically takes 15 to 30 minutes. We apply a soothing ointment and sterile dressing, then walk you through aftercare before you head back home to San Tan Ranch or drive up from Queen Creek or Mesa.
Healing and Aftercare in the Desert Climate
Aftercare is where Gilbert's hot desert climate really comes into play. Treated skin must stay out of direct sun, and blistering is more likely when it's 110 degrees outside. We give you clear instructions: keep the area covered and moisturized, avoid pools and the Riparian Preserve's sunny trails for a few days, and don't pick at any scabbing. Healing cleanly between sessions protects your skin and keeps the process on schedule.
Ongoing Sessions Until the Ink Is Gone
You'll come back every 8 to 10 weeks — the spacing lets your immune system flush the fragmented ink naturally. We track fading with photos at each visit so you can see real progress. Many clients from Chandler and Mesa plan sessions around their work week; we're open Mon–Fri 8am–6pm and Saturdays 9am–2pm to make that easy. Most tattoos fade dramatically by the halfway point, and stubborn colors get adjusted settings as we go.
