Per-session pricing is usually based on tattoo size. A larger tattoo costs more to treat at each visit, while the overall total also depends on how many visits are required.
Package pricing can lower the per-session cost compared with paying one session at a time.
What changes the number of sessions?
- Ink colors: black and dark inks generally clear fastest. Bright and light colors are more resistant, with green and blue often taking more sessions.
- Ink density and depth: denser or deeper professional work can take longer.
- Tattoo age: older tattoos have often faded already.
- Body location: areas with better circulation tend to clear ink faster.
- Skin tone and treatment settings: settings are adjusted to treat pigment while protecting surrounding skin.
- Prior removal work: a partially faded tattoo may need fewer remaining sessions than a fresh tattoo.
Why an exact quote requires assessment
Two tattoos with the same dimensions can have very different ink density, colors, age, depth, and prior treatment history. That is why the reliable estimate comes after measurements and a review of the tattoo rather than from size alone.
